Maybe a little high of asking IMHO. As I recall, it should have a red Nitto stem instead of that Modolo.

Here's a nice cheap one for any beater challenge. Instant winner. Not sure on space between forks and downtube though and no good shot of the head tube/down tube/top tube join to see if any damage.

Since yard sales are hardly the best place to get maximum return on a bike, this yard sale might be worth visiting and being first in line when the door opens.

seypat I think the front end is damaged.

As I said, I'd like to see the bike (or better photos) before buying. Might be salvageable or not. I'd also be interested in seeing whether seller says it was damaged

Actually, it's in CHAPIN, a small town to the west of Columbia, SC. And I have seriously considered making the roughly 80 minute each way drive to snag it for its parts - but what would I put them on? And would anyone buy that wee frameset from me? It's a lovely little bike, though. Were it actually my size ...

I see these adds from "Fresno" or "Stockton" quite frequently and wonder if they are legit.....sometimes the add will state will be there on such and such a date, anyone ever buy from this seller? Prices seem good.
Just wondering, Ben

While I do not want to knock on the seller (especially if it’s a legit deal) there is a major red flag. Stolen bicycles from Los Angeles, San Fran, and other surrounding areas are trekked to storage units in Fresno (and other further CA cities). They’ll sit for a few months or more then be sold in quick “lot” sales like such.

Just something to keep in mind. Maybe this is just a great deal on some sweet vintage steel!

A men's Schwinn 12-speed that I have been using as a stationary exercise bike and the stand that allows this. Comfortable seat is in like new condition. Bike runs fine if that's your preference.

63cm Davidson in St. Augustine, Florida on eBay. Potentially nice pick-up for someone. I'm always a bit leery of Floridian steel bikes though. The persistent humidity and salt sea air makes me worry.

Wow, right up my alley but yep, plenty of rust worms and small rust blisters.

Price could be ok but $139 flat rate shipping is BS IMO.

I should know better than to look at this thread. I guess I know what I'll be doing Saturday morning. The fact that they enlisted an estate sale agency doesn't give me hopes for a bargain, but dang that's a nice bike.

Yep, got burned on a Stockton deal early on in my BF tenure, my bad, I had done 100's of efbay deals so shame on me. PP was worthless since of course it was a FF transaction but one of the people I talked to let it slip that "we are aware of this guy", like I said, my bad.
