Hello from Alta Loma, Ca
Checking in from the base of Mt. Baldy and Cucamonga Peek. I still own my first real bike, a 1977 Schwinn Super LeTour 12.2. It's a bit beat up, but I did a minor refresh a few months ago.
I got back into biking pretty heavy early last year as a result of the Covid crisis. I purchased a 2019 Specialized Sirrus Elite Alloy Disc (hybrid). I put about 4,000 miles on it on solo rides and pulling my daughter in a Weehoo trailer before deciding to upgrade to an endurance road bike.
In August, I came across some "found" money in Vegas by hitting some good cards. I shopped around for an endurance road bike and picked up a 2022 Cervelo Caledonia-5, Rival, eTap. I've already put nearly 1,000 miles on it. I'm retired and generally ride 150-200 miles per week with rides ranging between 35-50 miles.
I'm working on getting an 80's Bianchi (Limited I think) identified. Considering a refresh or restore depending on value.
I'm a full on DIY kind of guy and look forward to gaining some knowledge and mechanical skills.
Mike
