Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If I could run 25s at ~75psi or so, I'd be happy with them, but I don't think that I'd ever get that light. As such, the trend towards 28+ is something that I welcome wholeheartedly.

I run 90R/80F on my 25s and I'm not a waif. They feel fine.

30mm is the actual sweetspot for road tubeless, IMO.

For my gravel road bike Lemond, gonna try some Vittoria Terreno 31mm after my rear 30mm Kenda Kwick gives up the ghost. Fingers crossed they'll fit (some 32s have rubbed, some have cleared, a 31mm could go either way also)

I'm running the Schwalbe Pro 1s at 80# front and rear and I weigh 205#. I shoot for 78 front and 83 rear but take anything ~80 when I'm pumping. Both ended up at 80 today.

I run 90-100R/F on my 25s and they feel fine. Not sure what a waif means.

I think I'm heavier than you. Currently 185. Hope to get to 176 or so this year.

Like more things, I think that "it depends" is the right answer. I was completely sold on the Schwalbe G-One Speed (30mm), but then I lost a bit of weight and tried some 28s. I could feel the weight difference and didn't give up any comfort. They're now my go-to.

I'm running my 28s at ~58f/62r. My rims are pretty wide, internally, though (23mm).

Probably not.

I haven't weighed myself lately, but I feel like I'm at least 185 maybe a little more.

FWIW I am typically running 23F and 25R, about 85PSI +/- 5PSI but I am a skeleton.

My S1 won't accept anything more than a fat sprinter 23. And that's with nowhere near 4mm clearance all-around.

Thunder storm rolling in. Hopefully, we can keep the windows open long enough for the temperature to fall below 80.

Sounds about right but if you have surprise gravel, are you getting pinch flats? That's why I push my PSI a smidge higher.

On yesterday's ride we had 1 mile of surprise gravel and another rider had a pinch flat. Sad!

I wonder if a Strava club’s leaderboard could be adjusted slightly to also incorporate elevation into the rankings?

Asking for a friend.

Gorgeous pictures!

Yeah, it was all weird there too. No holder, every other parking spot blocked off, and a mask on until you got to your starting position.

So you started out with one foot unclipped? Was there a ramp?

What about TSS? That gives credit for elevation and wind, and doesn't reward endless straight-line distance.
