About to start building up a 1960 Cinelli SC but need to find a couple of the usual bits like the Universal rear brake hanger/quick release and 26.2 seatpost. Don't really want to do much until I find those bits particularly the Universal part.

Just finished this build a 1951-52 Sun Manxman frame /fork to a road bike.

No help on the parts you need, isn't the cable hanger special for the binder bolt on these, more hens teeth?

Yes have pretty much everything, I do need a grease nipple and the screw but I don't think those will be difficult to find. Have Ambrosio stem and bars and Campagnolo Record parts etc. Yes the cable hanger is specific. Bad part is I thought I had one but have lost it lol.

Ok, so I think Jan is a pompous blowhard, but I like low trail bicycle geometry. At my local co-ops garage sale, I spotted this Rans recumbent fork for a 26" wheel. The steerer is 1 1/8th threaded and is long enough to work with my recent Trek 990. After plugging in the dimensions into the low trail calculator (Bicycle Trail Calculator | yojimg.net), I'm looking at ~22mm of trail. Now to decide on front racks, the heavier the better...

Also, just in case, that is one of the best looking SC's I have ever seen.
I was lucky my frame came with all the finicky bits as well except the hanger which I don't need with side pulls, Universals with Balilla levers.
And mine is no chrome, repro HB and repaint in a bit rough shape.

I finally cleared some time for the Grand Jubile mixte. I’ve already serviced the bottom bracket and crankset. Today I stripped the frame, gave it a birdbath, cleaned up the brakes and drivetrain and put fresh cables and housing on. I’ve never worked on Jubilee components, they sure are light, and nicely made. The shifters are interesting, they seem unduly complicated.
The Weinmanns are standard, and while they’re better with fresh cables and housing, they take a lot of effort. I’ve been thinking about putting long reach Tektros on it. If not I could probably use a 750 for the rear. The hoods are soft but decades of Northeast seasons spent in an unheated garage left it’s mark.
I have no idea if I’ll keep these bars on it or go with an upright setup but the engraving is nice.
To do: locate one of my wide range 7-speed freewheels, put a new chain on, true the replacement wheels (VO hoops on 1st gen Dura-Ace high flange hubs), get some 32 or 35 tires, and service the headset. Oh, and retape the bars. I’m sure it’s the original wrap, it even has Moto bar plugs.

Chuck M It's a hair chilly (48F) and the recommendations are to wait until it warms up a couple more degrees, so of course I've started with the second coat. (I know I should have had a bucket of warm water for the can...) After a few seconds, the spray evened out and went on fine. As you can see, I wrapped a mixture of twine, satin jewelry cording, and 21g badminton string to create some stripes. With the frame shape I was expecting to get some runs, but so far only one that I've noticed. I'll upwrap it tonight after I've put ~.5-.75 of the can on.

Not quite what I'd hoped for, needed to have used more thick twine or a thicker string (hmmm, what am I ever going to do with a reel of cheap 15g tennis string? Maybe next time...)

I get that you had your own idea regarding the final result, but I think this came out just right - particularly the way the lines aren't perfect. The effect is really cool - oh, and good call painting the fork to match the frame.
