This is my sisters old bike. I'm looking to sell this for her but don't know the model year. It's 26" alloy
hardtail and comes with Shimano 3X Alivio drivetrain and Deore wheels.

Looks 2005 ish or thereabouts
I wouldnt spend too much time doing a forensics level deep dive into it --- this level of machine, condition trumps year of manufacture anytime -- but disc mounts suggest the machine is not super old -- list it as whatever year you choose between 2005 and 2012 and should be good enough

Agree with the above. I'd say it's about that time frame as well. Here is a stock pic of my 2008. Similar but there are certainly frame differences. Hard to say an exact year for me, but there were versions without disk brakes when I got mine. I would suspect it's a bit older than my 2008, rather than newer, but that's just a guess. Honestly, I wouldn't expect more than a couple hundred dollars at most for that bike today. Mine was $1200-ish CAD new with hydro disc brakes and rockshox recon fork. I would think that one was probably $600-$800 new by how it is equipped.

Here's a 2005 that looks nearly identical.
