I have bought several really cheap luggage scales, shipped from asia that I bought on Ebay. They always read about the same or a hair less than the scale at airline ticketing counters. Thus, accuracy has been within a percent or two in my experience.

25 lbs as it sits here. But to be fair, this is not a true touring bike but rather a cycle cross bike that I adapted for touring. It performs quite well for how I use it, but I would not try crossing Asia nor Africa with it, rather opting for something more robust under those conditions.

The error of the scale is probably ± 0.5 lb, so the error in my bike weight is probably ± 1 lb (less than the water in one bottle).
