Would you sport this jersey?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Would you sport this jersey?

I found this jersey on eBay, I personly like it, but thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thought. Is this the same as wearing the dreaded "TEAM" jersey?

Wasn't that an award jersey from the Tour de France in the mid 80's? I think it was awarded to the person who had the best combined total in all the other contests (general classification, sprinting, climbing, etc.). As such, I'd put it in the same category as any other "award" jersey like the maillot jaune, maglia rosa. rainbow jersey, etc: I wouldn't wear it myself, but if someone else wants to, that's their decision, not mine.

FTW! My first memory of pro cycling is Lemond wearing that baby in '85. Lemond's visibility and success got me and my bro into riding, so HECK YES I'D WEAR IT PROUDLY!

You have an extra?

It does look like the multi-category jersey from the late 70's and early 80's TDF's. I say buy it and wear it. It's cool because it's so obscure. Check out this link: https://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...lr%3D%26sa%3DN

There is no continuity to it, just looks like someone patched together a bunch of ratty jerseys.

Hate to admit it but deep in the recesses of my closet that houses my old cycling, golf, and fishing gear there is a long sleeve replica of that Jersey that I bought in 1986.. Its made by Giordana has,Toshiba on the sides and the Tour De France ensignia on the upper left patch.. So it is a Tdf replica award jersey ..One thing, when I wore it I was visible!
