Surly LHT 26, where to buy in europe?

Hello !

Im from Berlin/Germany and Im looking for a Surly Long Haul Trucker 26 inches wheel with rim brakes (frame size 62cm). Looks like it is hard to find this here. For some reason, most of european resellers have maximum frame size 58 on stock.

Do someone know where to find it used or new?

Thank you!

The 26" max seems to be 58cm, if you want 62, you need to go with 700cc (in Europe). However, it still looks like a major shortage from the pandemic.

You might contact Surly and ask them about frame sizing and whether they are discontinuing the 26 inch version

According to surlybikes.com
  • Available in 26” (sizes 42–58 cm) and 700c (sizes 56–62 cm) wheel diameters
I assume that they're referring to this years frames.
Perhaps you might look through their archives to determine when/if they produced a size 62 in 26' wheels.

Even worse for this years Disk Trucker:
Sizes 26" wheel 42–56cm, 700c wheel 56–64cm

Good luck

The Surlybikes site has changed over the years too.
Considering my Ogre is a 2012 version (approx) when "Blacktackular" (colour) came out, I've not had a lot of cause to be checking out their website much in the last year or three.
I'd swear that they had easy to spot links (under "archives") which made it easy to look up older version bike specs.
A quick peruse just now suggests nothing stays the same and that I should either buy a new Surly or take my ageing carcass far from their webpages.

I’m pretty sure you are correct about the old specs links.

I Googled "Surly 2012 Catalog" and got a .pdf with specs in the first link. Are the specs you are looking for somewhere else?

I just read on the Surly website FAQs , they've discontinued the LHT. Not sure if it applies to all models, but...

Just read the Surly website FAQs; didn't see any such announcement. According to the website, the geometry of the LHT was tweaked slightly for 2020 but the bike is still in their lineup.
