Cycling caps

I always find those traditional cycling caps to be too small, so I wear a regular baseball-type cap, size XL. Usually worn backwards so the brim doesn't block my view.
I'm not sure of a better solution.... Probably my own fault because my head is big and square. I always joke that the best-fitting bike helmet for me probably best resembles one of those plastic milk crates.

I wear these things, backwards unless it's raining. The Full Sail one is less aero than it used to be, which makes no difference to me, but it could be an issue for some folks.

I usually cut the tops off and wear them backwards under my helmet. The brim seems to wick the sweat towards the back and it provides a little extra sun protection on my neck. Aussie (Orica-Greenedge) hack.

Im not a fan of the caps but will wear one, rarely, on hot days to help with the sun and extremely cold days for warmth. Other than as noted i think they are a touch ugly and distract from the beautiful creature I have become in my late 70’s .

I don't like traditional cotton caps- uncomfortable lumpy elastic & often scratchy.

That's the cap I wear also. So light I don't really even feel it while riding. Plenty of ventilation and does a great job keeping my head from getting burned and wicks the sweat away.

So none of you guys wear caps just because they look cool? I think mine looks sweet, but don't really think its that functional for me, might help with sweat in the eyes but doesn't fully solve the problem

I have worn them just for looks. I do think they look cool but the brim interferes with my vision. I haven't had a helmet that would permit a flipped brim unless I perched it way on the back of my head. I have 7-11, Continental, Clement and a couple of others. Sometimes I'll put one in my pocket if I think I'll be hanging around somewhere mid ride and want to take off my helmet. Chicks love them!

Sure, I like the way it looks too. I wear the brim flipped up almost all the time and it fits perfectly against and under my helmet. If I'm riding right into the sun I can bring the brim down for some shade.
It's function and form all wrapped up into one....there is a reason the cycling cap is so classic.
