Howdy from NC
Hi all, new member here from Wilmington, NC.
I grew up riding bikes every day, had a brief stint of road riding in college as I joined a tri club, but most of my riding has been on mountain bikes and my current ride is an '09 Gary Fisher HiFi Deluxe. Sadly I didn't do any riding in the last 6 or so years until recently. I've got two girls (3 and 1.5 years) and recently bought a double-trailer from a neighbor for cheap. It didn't take long to get tired of pulling that thing around on a 13 year old, full-squish mountain bike ha; so I picked up a Trek FX 2 yesterday.
Plan to use it as my leisure/dad-mobile for a few years but also for some "longer" (probably 20-30 miles to start) solo fitness rides. My love of cycling has returned and we'll see where it takes me!

Unfortunately I have never been there but have only heard of the bike routes second hand from my son who lives outside of Raleigh. He said there is a real nice route for starters called the River to Sea Bike Route. Its for a Family ride...
