I fell short last month, and have a very full calendar for November, so I'm going to shoot a little lower than normal. Put me down for 600 miles.

I got closer to my goal in October than I did in September, not sure how November will go but I’m giving it my best shot and shooting for the same 400 miles this month. Dropped my van off at the body shop this morning (another reason I didn’t make my goal, but at least I was in my E-350 when I got swerved into and not on my bike) and rode to work this morning, in a little while I ride some more to go pick up the rental minivan.
Got a half-century planned for Saturday, I signed up for it two years ago right after the last one, and have been waiting eagerly for it since I got my new bike. It was going to be a century, but my bandleader scheduled a gig for that night, and I wouldn’t make it back from North San Diego County in time for a show in Pasadena if I rode the full 100. Wonder if the jersey will say 2020 or 2021. Getting my new bike fitted on Thursday, so it should be an enjoyable ride come Saturday. The bike is a joy to ride as it is, but if it gets even better, well, dang, that’ll be nice.
11/1 - 25.1
MTD: 25.1
Monthly Goal: 400 miles.

I didn't play in September, but I was able to ride 199 miles. October fell just short of my revised goal of 230 miles, with another 200 mile month. And I only rode 12 days.
I'll try for 200 in November, might be tough as the weather gets worse and I'm back in the office a couple days a week.
11/1: 16.5
MTD: 16.5
YTD: 1238.4
Picked up one of these to wear under my helmet. It's perfect for keeping the cold wind off my bald head.

Coldest ride for me yet, low 40's. Pants, gloves, wool socks, windproof jacket with a couple layers, my new beanie under the helmet, and I was comfortable. I'm curious at what temp I will need to do more. Will soon find out. But got my fenders today, those are going to be a nice upgrade.

My goal is to ride when I can .
My abs and chest muscles are getting better . Stomach is doing better finally too .
I’ve been riding a portable indoor trainer of sorts to keep my knees lubricated , but I have no way to compute mileage .
Would have been too cold and wet to ride today .

Bike the Coast Half-Century was yesterday. There was construction along the usual route, so they added some “bonus” miles around it, which, of course, added some climbing. But I had my new bike fitted on Thursday (what a difference!) and both Friday’s and Saturday’s rides were a joy.

Rode a couple of miles yesterday, temperature around 60 . I don’t know if it’s the cooler weather or if I’ve just overdone my knees during the warmer months . But I can’t see me riding much until it warms back up on a regular basis.
same thing happened last year . I’m guessing the arthritis has gotten too much for me when it cold .
I’ll be going into a walking daily mode until spring .
I’ll be in touch, you guys enjoy .

Warm up here too, but hung up doing all the last minute yard work and painting until well after dark. But got a couple more rides in.
Goal: 200

MTD: 63.9
YTD: 1285.8
Installed my new Cascadia fenders on Saturday, that should help as the weather worsens.

Front tire went flat while I was at work, discovered it when I went to go home. Managed to forget to put the seat bag back on the bike when I got it back from the shop, so I ended up taking the train home. And that meant half the normal mileage for the day. Try again tomorrow.

Rode a little this afternoon. The four miles I rode almost doubled my monthly total .
It was sunny , upper 50’s , but a little windy .
I just enjoyed the ride
