Greetings from NH
Hello all! I'm no longer lurking. I hail from southern NH, am definitely in the Clydesdale category at 280lbs, and enjoy riding roads both dirt and paved. I have a fetish for vintage steel road bikes. Anyone else in the area interested in slow non-lycra road rides?
My Bikes
Commuter: I commute (almost) daily, year round, on my Surly Straggler.
Road bike project: I just bought my first steel road bike, a 1986 Miele Beta that I am definitely too heavy for but that I'm going to ride anyway (so sue me, or trade with me for something with a beefier tubeset ).
Utility bike project: I'm working on a "truck bike" (1997 GT Arette) for grocery getting/dragging a trailer to the dump/leaving under-locked outside of breweries.
Planning to sell: 2008 Trek 1.2 (my first love, beginner road bike), 1997 Cannondale F2000 CAAD3 (crazy dump find)

Hello and welcome.
Have an ex that was from Lisbon, NH.
Beautiful country up that way. I always wanted to downhill at Attitash Mountain but never got the chance.
I did do the alpine slide out there and have the scars to prove it..lol..

Most of my excursions to the northern part of the state have been hiking. I haven't done any riding up there.

Welcome @Velogoth . I used to live in Windham, NH near Canobie Lake. There was an old railroad right of way that was converted into a path after I left. If nearby for you, it should be a good path with dirt trails branching off of it. I walked through these woods quite a bit when I lived there.
I am also a Clyde. I have an older aluminum frame mountain bike now that would be great for the wooded trails in that area. In the winter, I also cross country skied those trails. Sometimes I make the tracks, sometime someone else beat me to it. I never knew who.

I like your forum name. I have a utility bike project I'm working on that I named The Mule because it kept "kicking" me in the head with the handlebars or front wheel when it was in the stand, and because it's made for hauling loads to the dump and from the grocery store.
