Rocks etc from the back wheel are a concern for me. I have 2 bikes a regular commuter and an ebike with a fatter wheel.

I am considering a weehoo trailer but they are open so I am really unsure.
All I need is one rock to hit my daughter and that may be it for her being on the trailer (she has special needs and is not tough that way) and I am sure rain isn't going to make for a happy rid for them behind a wheel.


I have a wike utility trailer but their special needs trailer price is astronomical. Too bad there isn't a way to easily retrofit and unretrofit a trailer.

Any feedback from those in the know?

I did a Google search but all I found was a weather cover. My 30 year old Burley trailer came with a rock mesh as well as a rain cover. Maybe you can write to Weehoo and ask.

Who says it wasn't considered?
The fender I have goes as low as the rear axle.
I recall hearing a small pling on a child trailer I was towing 10 years ago, same commuter, it has a single riding ridge tire. The WeeHoo trailer seems to sit pretty far back and is complete open so I am a little concerned.


Now I am thinking a mudflap on the weehoo may work (bigger and lower "fender"). hmmmm

I think this page said it was the SKS longboard. Maybe an extension like this black part would help.

Many, most? Trailer bikes have a fender on the down tube. Looks like Weehoo does. If it’s not enough just put a bigger piece of plastic on for a mud flap
