Frame id anyone?
This belongs to one of the employees of the LBS. Once upon a time it had chrome stays and forks. The fork blades are fat like old Columbus and he says it has an italian BB. Nothing on the bike is original.

Bianchi had a longstanding model in its lineup called the Record. THe Celeste paint is also a clue.
I could not find any online photos of a Bianchi Record where 'RECORD' was the main label on the DT, though.
Raleigh also made a bike called the Record but this is not one of them AFAIK. Raleigh Records were cheaper bikes with plain dropouts without a built in derailleur hanger.

Juvela sure may be onto something, and the stay joints being a clue pointing to Bottecchia is certainly one I'd never have noticed. Since this reportedly has an Italian BB shell he's in the right territory, cannot tell what the DOs are but likely these are Campy or GPM. The thing with Bottecchia is that details like seat stay caps and forkcrown are all over the map and since that marque also spans many decades plus model-levels it's hard to nail down the make, however you DO see occasional examples that use this style (Italian) crown as well as sometimes those trad stay caps.
Since the RD cable routing is above BB shell and the brakes are nutted, I would say this frame could fall into the era that Bottecchia used metal head badges: so when you have it in hand check for the two (vertical) rivet holes in the head tube, filled in or not, and report back.
What I don't know is how much "Contact building" Carnielli did that may never have been badged as a Bottecchia: he certainly did a little bit (LeMond, for example) but need someone with more depth to chime in.
MauriceMoss , maybe?

The Record decal is part of a generic set. I suspect it was used by the odd bike shop as a "house brand":

There does appear to have been a legitimate Record brand with similar font.

in case it turns out to be an Edoardo of some stripe it appears to date from immediately prior to the beginning of the Piaggio period

It's an interesting looking frame. Stay ands and the fork crown aren't distinctive enough and there's a few makers that used similar seat stay caps, but when taking into account the other features, things don't seem to fit too well.
One thing that's hard to tell from the pictures but looks odd is the lug cutouts - if I'm seeing it correctly, the head lugs have no cutouts but the seat lug does?
I agree with juvela - seeing a clear pic of the underside of the bottom bracket shell would help. Are there any numbers anywhere on the shell? Also, what do the top tube cable guides look like (or is routing internal?)?
Is bb threading Italian for sure?

BOCAMA refers to the cutout pattern exhibited by the seat lug as R1
the fact that head lugs demonstrae no cutouts suggest frame was construced by someone "using up what was in the parts bin"
a second possibility might be tube replacement...
[cutouts more elongated on longpoint lugs and shorter on short point models]
