Thats super cool looking! I couldn't place the blue steel frame and black fork with anything i knew of. Figured it was either something from a smaller brand, but this makes sense that its a separate fork purchase. I've read about the fyxation forks- they have a couple cool designs that help modernize older frame standards.

Anyways, great looking bike. Ah, and now I can see that the badge is a soma in the initial side pic. Killer blue.

I just bought a new frameset for my gravel bike...does that count?

Actually, it’s going to be a whole new gravel rig, this ‘19 T-Lab X3. Made in Montreal, it’s got some pretty radical and unique tube shaping for titanium, and taken together with some other cool touches like the bolt-in drop outs and 3-piece headtube, make it the most sophisticated Ti bike out there (insofar as I am aware). This size Large frame, fork and headset together all weigh in at 2119g— a bit under 5lbs— so I should be able to build this up (undecided, but probably with SRAM Force 22) into a ~18.5lbs ride without any real weight weenie-ism.

I’m still collecting up the bits, but hope to have it ready to ride within a month...just in time for the dead of winter!

Just bought a pair of Teravail Rutlands in 700x47. I need more traction on the wet muddy gravel/dirt trails that my 42mm Cannonballs can deliver. Question: the min pressure is 40psi on both the Rutlands and the Cannonballs. I use about 38 psi tubeless on the 42 Cannonballs.. What do you think I should start at on the 47's? I don't want to put in the same 38psi and then find once I'm out there that I'm bouncing around on them.

A Roadrunner California burrito handlebar bag and a padded camera insert to bring my Fuji mirrorless and a lens or two on some rides. A mount for my Element Bolt that replaces one of my headset spacers, to make room for the bag.

Hunt 650b adventure carbon wheelset and some 650bx47 WTB byways that I’m pretty pumped about. Lucked out as well, three days later the price of the wheels jumped up $300! Also some SRAM centerline rotors.

Pictures are always better but I picked up a E Thirteen trs plus 9-46 cassette, xd hub, red shift 90mm stem, red shift kitchen sink w/loop 47 mm bars, and a few other things. I'll post before and after pics once it's all installed.

I have a custom Swift Paloma bag but as much as I love that bag sometimes I don't need to carry a full day worth of supplies for a 2-hour ride.

I recently snagged a Silca Mattone seat bag, on sale from Silca. It’s nicely made, as expected, and even though I need it for a minimal road emergency kit only, it’s small enough that I figured it would be wise to paxk it with a compact, lightweight tube, so I also got a pair of Schwalbe Aerothan (for 700 x35) from Bike24 in Germany. The main alternative was the Tubolito tube, but the Aerothan sound wicked and more durable than Tuboliro.

Thanks for the tip! I've been looking for a compact and secure saddlebag for my Niner, and this fits the bill perfectly! Just ordered one from Amazon.

Silca had a different BOA wedge rollbag that is now discontinued- reviews were full of complaints about the bag slipping out and dumping everything. Its what kept me from trying the roll, even though it looked so neat. I ended up buying speedsleev wedge bags instead that have been great.

But this new Silca BOA wedge looks like a better design than their discontinued version. Hmm, I may need to try it too!

My Silca Mattone from Amazon Prime arrived yesterday. I really like this compact bag! It was big enough to handle my Park multi-tool, CO2 kit, Stan's Dart tool, and Wolf Tooth chain pliers. Once cinched up, it's compact and ultra secure with the wide strap and BOA closure. With the way the seat rails are on my Niner, the strap was almost too short, but I made it work. If the strap was 2" longer it would be perfect and allow more stuff to be packed in the bag. This wouldn't really be an issue on a different seat. The way the rails bend on my Selle Royale saddle just takes up some extra strap.

csrpenfab Cool. I haven’t loaded mine yet, but it sounds like my road kit should fit just fine. So you don’t carry a spare tube, just the Dart? I’ve not used a tire plug kit yet, but probably should look into them.

Regarding the Mattone, I have wondered why the lid is on the bottom while it’s on the bike. It seems that loosening the strap and dropping the bag a bit would allow access without removing it, but having the zipper on the bottom makes that kind of awkward to do. It’s not a big deal for me, as I usually don’t go into my bag except for repair emergencies, but I think it would have been a nice way to design it.

I have not been carrying a tube for the past 5k miles, and so far so good! As tight as the Schwalbe G1's fit on my Stan's rims, I doubt I'd be successful fitting a tube on the road anyhow. I carry that Stan's dart tool but have not had to use it yet. Agreed on how the bag opens. I figure I'll just be completely removing the bag if I need to get to the tools.

I just got a tiny, lightweight, 700x35c Schwalbe Aerothan tube for my emergency kit. It’s pictured next to a Specialized 700x20-28 tube which weighs 113g while the Aerothan weighs 52g. I can only imagine that a 35c butyl tube would be a lot bigger and heavier...

Me too, I drill out my rims and buy Schrader valve tubes.

Just bought a Checkpoint SL5, transferred over the accessories from the Checkpoint AL3.

Also bought a Garmin Varia radar. Vision in my left eye is weak, so mirrors don't work well. I'll still wear the mirror, but mostly for seeing where my wife is.

Wanted something lighter than current with (mainly) bigger 27.5 clearance for my 2.2".

Came across an online pic with a very tight 2.8"? stuffed into it, but will only need 2.3" max.

A Crank Bros F10 multitool and Lezyne TriggerDrive inflator head...and now a more secure saddle pack.

I rode my Crux to the local state park and was going down some trails. I had heard a clunk and felt something hit the frame but I figured it was some rocks or debris as I was going through a rocky wet spot. Sure enough when I get to the end, I see the my tool roll hanging off the saddle with my multitool and CO2 inflator head missing.

Just bought a Brooks C17 Carved seat for my Traverse wannabe gravel bike. I don't think I would make it with leather so I'm hoping the C17 will meet my needs.
