Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The most beautiful bike

Just saw a pic of this and WOW. It's an IF (Independent Fabrication) bike and their designers all need raises.

Time for a test ride!

To me that is hideous, although I think it is mostly the wheels. They should put some solid black, or black with white logo wheels on it. The yellow clashes with the gold lugs. To each his own, I guess.

The frame is gorgeous as is the drivetrain. The wheels take the entire bike over the top.

I wouldn't say no if somebody offered it to me though....

I agree, I'd change out the wheels too, but damn that frame looks good. Anyone work at IF and want to get me a free one? LOL

Change the lug color to something less gaudy and get a simpler set of wheels and yes, it is a beautiful bike.

I'm thinking a pair of these might carry the gold in the lugs through to complete the package.

don't like it....i'm in the camp that dislikes sloping top tubes on road bikes....for all intents and purposes that could be a hybrid with drops and carbon wheels.

Removing the wheel decals would be a huge improvement. It would focus the eye to the frame and put the attention where it belongs.

Are they decals or painted/burned on? I wonder if the designers of the frame had any say in which wheels were put on the bike?

Hmmm I saw someone purchase a Carbon Fiber colored Trek 5200 with those Mavic wheels. It looked totally sick.

I don't like gold and the wheels, reminds me of those stickered-up Acura Integras.

But I love what they did with the "lugs"

Yeah I think the yellow on the wheels is a bit much. But the bike looks darn nice.

The top tube has too much slope to it and yeah, those wheels are a bit over the top. I can't tell, I hope they are at least tubulars?

Oh, and that traditional bend road bar looks kind of out of place on that bike. I'm rather fond of the ergo bend bars though.

garbage. i would expect a company that calls itself independent fabrication to have at least one original design, but it just looks like they're another company who says 'we build the same bike anyone else does - only we do it better somehow.'

F#ck the team kit. You'll need to rock the buttafly collar and some gold chains then you'll be a'ight!

This bike is moist, steaming example of why I hate logos. Ugh.

Putting aside the fact that mixed material frames are an abomination against natural law (but using a CF fork is a-ok), I'd like it better if the chainstays matched the lugs. Mavic's gotta go.
