Addiction 2022.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Of course, the last ~25 miles were powered by crash-fueled adrenaline, but pay no attention to that part.
Unless it’s a “race” I usually have very little, small breakfast, a clif bar and a handful of dates over 60-70 is the norm

We’re heading up to Lake Ontario for the week today, near where I grew up. Bringing the bike so I’ll be able to ride a bit, but I’ve been trying to rest a little.

About three weeks ago, I had a little too much fun with the neighbors and then tripped over some stone in my driveway. Since then, my right hand has had increasing levels of pain, usually made worse by riding. It was so bad the other day I couldn’t cut a watermelon for the kids- so I finally went to the dr.

Not a break thankfully, just a sprain. Wearing a splint most of the time now.

It was kind of casual by my standards, so I was wondering if it could possibly be the answer.

3 hours of inside and outside of the house work is done. I'm wiped out

Abdominal distress continues. More tests upcoming. Was given a medication that might help the pain in my guts. Probiotics have not made a difference with my bloated feeling.
Reminds me of this:
