April Goal: 200 miles
4/1: 16.3
4/2: 16.4
4/3: 16.4

4/8: 16.3

YTD: 416.2

Shorts weather tonight! Took a slight detour from my usual route. We live near the coast, and a tidal river runs through part of town. I get on the MUP near the mouth of the river. We have ospreys in the summer (they just returned) and this year we've had a pair of bald eagles. Good fishing. Last ride I ran into a friend on the MUP and she told me where I could find the nest. It's less than 0.5 miles from our house, so I rode in that direction to find it. Maybe this weekend I'll get out with the long lens.

Here is the pair around the osprey nest one morning in late February.

Had my checkup today with my primary care doctor.
BP was good , and my weight was 259.7 , down from a biscuit over 300 .
Actually, at my heaviest , I didn’t weigh myself until after a month after I started back riding and changing my eating habits . At that time I was 297 .
It’s taken me over two years to lose it .
Under 250 by the end of the year is my goal .
Got to keep on riding
Only 59.7 pounds to go

Definitely keep riding! The real battle is in the kitchen though. I used to think the dryer was shrinking my clothes. Realized I had been blaming the wrong appliance all along. The real enemy was the refrigerator.

Goal: 81 (1 more than last year). So far, 9.4. At this time last year, we had had at least 3 days with temp at 50 or above and winds below 20 mph. This year ... 1? I'm bummed.

. I’m going to miss at least a couple of days coming up and I’d like to stay on target for my 100 miles , so I rested up after my morning ride of 5.6 miles and rode another 3.0

Converted my Hardrock back to 1X8 from SS and have ridden it the last couple of days.

Going for 300 miles this month. Hopefully 400.

it’s gotten harder because I have taken up mountain biking and those uphill single tracks make you sweat every yard. My average speed on the road is 12.8, on dirt it’s more like 5mph!

I haven't really set myself any goals other than to get out there and not leave another bike to rust.
I ride most days, although I have had a few days off in the last two weeks because the bike needed spoke repairs, but so far this April I'm up to 125.
I do have to ride further than most of you since your 100 = 160 for me, but that's just one of the inconveniences of living down under
I do about 20-25ks every second day but I don't go out in the rain and I don't ride on days where the wind is over about 15kph. But since the end of January I've managed about 720ks in total

This sounds like a fun challenge although, seeing as I haven't been on a bike in ages, I probably won't be hitting 100 miles (at least not this month), but I'll see what I can do.

4/12 - 3.47 miles

Goal - mainly just getting back on the bike
April - 3.47 miles

welcome , just ride what you can . You’ll increase your distance if you keep at it .
Its the discipline of riding regularly that’ll get you there.

I rode 25.9ks this morning, was a bit of a wet ride with the fog coming down. The ride itself was good, I was a little sore mid ride but I got over it, however the ride was a bit of a let down in the end because when I got home I found that I'd broken another spoke.
