So nice....

Would you have any basic recommendation about riding in Bali?
As in would it be worth it just staying away from the Kuta, Denpasar area and opting for somewhere more quiet?
Also, which area would be nice to ride and visit? ( I see Kintamani in the background )

Hi... Thanks...yeah, I would say that most of the interesting riding is north of Denpasar | Sanur. There's a bit of interesting urban riding in Denpasar but you are not coming from SG for that. For riding, you want the east, center and north of the island. Good thing about Bali is that it's great for Credit Card routing. There is always a place to eat and sleep around the corner. Happy to answer specific questions.

Kintamani? No, I am actually a bit far from it, but I did ride 'behind' it two days ago.

Red arrow points to Kintamani

I am in Buleleng (Singaraja is the capital city where the harbor building, Chinese temple, etc are). Before the aeroplane, it was the main point of entry to Bali. The image of the volcano's north face was taken around Kubu. "Pacific Coast Highway" is west of Tejakula.

It's hot, very hot during the middle of the day. The type of hot where you don't go all out and you stop every 45 minutes to cool down and take refuge in an Aircon convenience store between 11am and 3pm.

Is it normal that I keep looking at the bike and not the beautiful background? Seriously, enjoy your tour! Love the water bottle.

Quite normal. I do it all the time.

On the descent the water bottle was used to collect water and douse the front wheel with water to bring the temperature down. I did that twice just to play it safe.

Heading up to the Batur caldera this weekend... 🤞
