Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I vote to replace paged with texted. Pagers were gone by the late 90's. TTKU
I have a paging app from my employer on my phone, which is accessed from the hospital page system, has a deafening beep and, I think, can’t be silenced.

US Gov. or branch thereof?
Sounds like not really a pager but a hybrid notification system using smartphone technology on your end and old tech on theirs. Kind of like a USB to HDMI adapter.

I am in the early planning stages of my first bicycle tour of the peninsula. The natural tendency is to go East. I'm looking West. Fun.

Today is the first day in a long time I've been so tired I had to lay/lie down before taking a shower. Did about 75 minutes of yard work on the hill that abuts my woodsy area of my property. Pulling weeds and cutting back trees that are encroaching closer than I'll allow.
Going to pay the price later. Tight hamstrings will be sore tomorrow from bending and stretching. Among other things that I won't know until I feel it.

Abdominal distress continues and probiotics can take up to 3 weeks before some relief is noticeable if it helps at all.

Valid point. Sadly, when I get texted they can’t text the actual message, they text me a link to a website that has a password for me to see the message. Apparently plain texts are not HIPAA compliant.

Apparently the 21st century expression is “janky.”

The falling in Saturn headliner is definitely ghetto janky.

NKD!
No two items arrived at the same time, and no two items match, except the gloves(of course), but today I rode in full road kit for the first time in approximately 8.5 months of Sundays.
It's a new dawn.

I will never again buy a non-full zip jersey. What a revelation. Are there any downsides, other than the zipper failing? Is this a frequent occurrence?

Is it janky to consistently get the KOM but no podium love? Or is it skanky?

No real downsides. Sometime the zipper can get wavy/bunched when leaned forward, but that's about it and is often a sizing issue more than a zipper issue.

I've never had a full zip jersey fail. I'm only a one person sample.

I left my teens behind in 1972. I never heard of it. Perhaps one of the 60 somethings can help out here. Or the 50 somethings.

That's it. I remember it from the early 70's Scooby-Doo cartoon. Fun fact: Casey Kasem was the voice of Shaggy. He did a lot of voice work. RIP

No downsides for me. I had a zipper fail on a team jersey a few years ago. Took it to a local tailor and had them put a new one in.
