Addiction 2022.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good point but he has a purple star so he is at a higher level than us mortals. Possibly.

Lately, it's just been too hot for an evening ride. Needs to be no more than 95 at 6:00 for that to be worthwhile.

When I was working I liked to go out on Wednesdays around 6:00 except during standard time when it got dark at 5:00. I would try to leave early on the short days but that got harder as the pressure went up at the job. Even an hour during the week makes a difference and I always felt good once on the bike, even if I was wiped out from work.

Same here. My summer evening rides are only about 15-20 miles, sometimes even less depending on circumstances. I try for Tuesday and Thursday evenings when I can.

I don't ride in the dark as I'm not set up for it and don't really feel comfortable out at night.

I do get to set my own work hours, but I also have to be available to clients and others that I interact with.

Mrs datlas has been tending to these since May but until today no flowers….over 6 feet tall….

Finally, our patience has been rewarded.

You must really have to piss off a mod or do something really inflammatory to get a ban.

Then of course there was the famous horsie pic, can’t unsee that one…

Youre doing it wrong. You should start with STARE.

The banned list doesn't always get updated. The guy who tours a lot is out, don't know how long.

I know we are not supposed to discuss the details of such matters in the open forums, but WTF?

In other news....

Last night's moonflower is already droopy. Apparently each bloom is only for one day (or in this case, one night....hence the name MOONflower).

Oh, and 4/6 on Wordle.

Tough night after the injection yesterday. Fever and chills, but feeling better now.
Lowell George was a big loss.
Sad!
