Helped a good friend move today

I met him about 15 years ago, he had about 400 bikes and enough parts and frames to build another 100. They decided to move out of state, so this past year and a half I helped him shave down to 90 keepers and just the high end parts. Today was the last day and I brought home a couple totes that he didn’t want.

Wow, 400 bikes? I used to think that having one bike per day of the week was a lot, but more than one bike per day of the year? Holy cow.

I was wondering if someone would spot the Superbe levers. He has a wonderful and understanding wife.

Surprised no one has mentioned that a good friend is one that will help you move.

Quite a load, enough to start a small bike stand somewhere.

Just out of curiosity- what is that one super long cage RD in the center of the last pic?

Is that a Ritchey, Nitto or knockoff Bullmoose?

I’ll check in the morning but I think it’s a Shimano Light Action. Not sure of the bars, I have two pair and haven’t checked yet.

You are all missing the important question: where did your friend move to? Hopefully near me?

SoCal is too expensive unless you won the lottery or bought in at the last low point say, 1995.

An impressive haul but on the flip side a burden.

That would be a fun burden to go through!
