Am I missing something? What grownup would hop several curbs during a 5 minute ride?

On a 5 minute ride, I could hold the club in one hand and still be able to work both brakes. I don't think I'm anything special in that regard.

The weed-eater string is very light and strong, I don't think it would hinder your stroke, or just use square-knots which can easily be done and undone. If you are serious, silver-solder a couple of eyelets on the club, or drill it and use screw-eyes through the shaft, and you can clip a quick-detachable camera strap to it.

If it’s a road bike, place the club across the brake levers and hold it in place by riding the hoods.

Strap the golf club to your top tube and ride on, simple and easy.

Wow, four pages to instruct someone how to carry something that others would simply go to their bike, strap the object on, and ride away. Unreal.

To be fair, some of those four pages have been sarcastic or ridiculing comments.

UPDATE
Carried golf club across handlebars.
This ended up working out fine.
I had to settle for wrong gear at times, since gear change was fiddly.
One curb hop was ok since fingers curled over bars.

The top tube suggestion turned out to be BS.
The club would get caught in to brake cables.

So after all that the OP claims to have demonstrated some self reliance to solve a simple “problem.” Sometimes I curse Al Gore.

So you’re admitting you’re a troll. Thanks.

And as for a free-thinking brain, I’m not the one who could not figure out something so simple on his own.

Why wouldn't you have tried that before starting a thread? You literally just figured out there wasn't a problem to discuss in the first place.

At least he has a brain to wash. Can't say that for everyone, if you catch my drift.

If dragging wasn't good enough, just strap the club on to your sissy bar. It should hold when hopping "curves"
