Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Roval Rapide CL ll

Anyone have experience with the revised Roval Rapide CL ll that came out in mid 2022? Possibly going to upgrade from Roval C38 as they do not seem to be light or aero. 95% of my riding is done on flats as Chicago has a random hill here and there but very little elevation. Thinking an aero wheel would be a better solution. Can get a deal for $1,350 on new set from local shop which seems reasonable, at least as reasonable as this stuff goes. Wheels with warranty and DT 350 hubs are very reliable. Can probably sell on the C38 for $500-$600 to offset the cost further. That or keep them for any off road/bad weather wheels. Or is the juice not worth the squeeze? Appreciate any feedback.
