But why not include a generator to power those computers for a little more incentive to actually pedal? If you don’t pedal, your computer doesn’t function, you can’t complete your assignment, you fail.

This strikes me as a very silly gimmick. Riding at a sufficient level for good exercise isn't really going to be great for concentrating on academics. That said, riding as part of phys ed in a very nice idea if it's affordable for the school.

I mean it would have to be fake power generation but be operating a switch to keep the power on. Not everyone is Robert Förstemann...

Putting generators on the them and children pedaling them to produce electricity....

That's going to take some re-vamping of the child labor laws.

Stupid idea, pedaling while trying to learn at the same time...Aren't schools supposed to have physical education classes few times per week where students perform different exercises ?. That's the way it was when I went to school, twice per week we had a 1 hour physical training class. Some students would also play all kinds of sports during lunch breaks or even after school.

I've got a desk job, I've considered something like this to mitigate the effects of sedentary work. Putting them at the kids' desks seems like a great idea to me, those who like it can use it and those who don't can ignore it.

Veganbikes, I had to show that video to my wife because she always loved my legs back in the racing days. From her mouth came a very surprising remark!
"Now, I'd like to see him naked"! She also remarked that her heart was going pitter-patter! There's a first for everything, and this was it. I can hear her in the kitchen going on about that guy right now!

As for the pedal desks, things like this come and go, just like the treadmill desk, the ball chair, token economy in the classroom, etc, etc, etc.
