1979 Richard Sachs frame and fork
Hello everyone,
I'm going to sell the frame/fork only of my 1979 Richard Sachs. It is in excellent condition. But I have no idea of what to ask. I'm in the Denver/Boulder market if that makes a difference. The only pictures I have right now are of the bike built up, but I will only be selling the frame and fork. Thanks for your help.

You should definitely ask for more than I can afford so I'm not tempted to buy it!

Can you provide a bit more info (ie. frame size, material, weight, etc.) so those in the know can help.

There is a complete bike on craigslist San Francisco that's been there a couple weeks at $2,500. It's a 56cm which is a more popular size than 63, but craigslist is not where you usually get the most money. ebay is probably your best bet if you are willing to ship.
Probably more than I can afford too, but is it 63cm center to center or center to top?

.
...I bought a frame and fork only, size 59cm, that had fresh Imron paint in red, but no stickers or other identifying decals, from an ex racer here about 10 years ago, for $550. It had been raced, but was in otherwise OK shape. The decals cost another 60 bucks, and took 6 months to get. This was in Northern California, in Sacramento. There's an entire Richard Sachs run forum, E-Richie, where the fans hang out. It's entirely possible you would have the best luck, and get the best price for it, over there.
This reminds me I should ride that bicycle more.

Based on my experience obtaining a Sachs frameset in my size of about the same vintage and assuming that it looks as nice up close as it does in your pictures above, would not be surprised to see that fetch $1200-1500 or so on the Big Auction Site.

Thanks everyone. Sold it locally for $600. I might have gotten more, but I avoided hassle.
