Repainted cool leather stuff Favorit? $225

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...331938937.html

1980s steel frame road bike, in very clean shape. Medium-sized frame, probably best for someone 5'6" - 5'10". Downtube shifters.

Brought over from the Czech Republic(!), a Favorit brand bike. Quality frame and components. The frame has been repainted, too bad in my opinion, but the dark green paint job does look good.

Matching leather handlebar grips, seat, and chainstay protector. Kind of cool, seems to have been a Favorit thing.

Further details below.

______________

Shimano derailleurs and brakes, Suntour downtube shifters.
Wheels are 700c with Shimano hubs and Campagnolo Lambda rims.
Crankset is a Czech brand (Walter), a double chainring in front and 7 rear cogs.

I got down to KC this week and picked up the bike. I also picked up a small Mercian frame for an iBoB denizen from another KC CL seller. While I was there, I bought a SunTour Superbe crank from him as well:

The seller has other stuff for sale, but is mostly looking to move frames as he's moving.

Along with the bike came four boxes of parts. I quickly went through them this morning. Here are some of the stuff I thought to be more interesting/unusual. Kudos to Velobase for helping me identify several of them.

Some mystery crank bolts (any idea as to manufacturer?):

IKU mechanical odometer:

Handlebar-mounted water bottle cage:

Crank removal tools, TA on the left, perhaps Stronglight in the middle(?) and adapter for a (missing) lever arm:

Christophe shoe protectors for your toe clips:

TA dust caps and washers:

An assortment of Stronglight chainrings (that's a 56T heavyweight in the upper left!):

Peugeot branded Stronglight 104:

More in the following post.

The rest...

Stronglight 190 (I think) crank arms:

The cool kind of Simplex skewers:

A mystery skewer (any idea about the mfr?):

Atax CTA handlebars:

Hmmmm, was just thinking yesterday I should list my Opus III and let someone else enjoy it. But last weekend I finally got around to gluing tubulars on the Superbe/Arc Ed Ciel wheels I found for it last year. Took it for a ride yesterday after putting 40 miles on 3 other bikes and nope, the Opus ain't going nowhere!

Not sure it's a "racing bike"

Vintage 1983 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe racing bike.

Needs some maintenance and cleaning, but the brake pads are good, and the bike rides just fine.

Comes with free combination chain lock (will give you the numbered key for it during sale)

Vintage Steel Colnago Frame with Campagnolo - $425 (Wakefield)

1982 Colnago Superissimo for sale. Nice frame made of Columbus tubing with chrome lugs and chromed Campy dropouts. The frame is straight and in good condition with no dents, but does show paint chips (some touched up) and wear as shown in the pics. Also, the prior owner removed the seat and top tube decals for a cleaner look, but I ordered some from Cyclomondo (see last pic) that will go with the frame. The frame measures 54cm on the top tube and around 52cm on the seat tube (both ctc), making it a medium size. As you can see in the pics, the chrome lugs look great with the Campagnolo Nuovo Record headset. These frames ride very well - quick and lively! Selling the frame for $425, or $475 with the headset. Located in Wakefield, but I do get in to Cambridge (Cambridgeport, near MIT/BU) now and again, so can possibly be seen there. Thanks
