Vintage Bike Art, a picture thread, hopefully.

Howdy folks. First new thread from me in a while ( i think). I just moved, and I'll be moving again in the spring. Anyway, i've been thinking about decorating my house (and bike shack). With vintage bike related artwork. Post up what you have, what you want, what you like. It can be new or it can be old, just as long as the content is vintage bike related.

I'll share too, when i get home. But I'd like to see what you have too.

Oh, I did a search and nothing popped out, but if you want to tell me this has been done already and link to other threads, that won't hurt my feelings a bit.

Not vintage, but check out the work of Taliah Lempert. She is pretty active now. I think you'll like her sensibilities.

Most of this is more commercial, but hopefully it's not too far from your intent.

That's Greg Curnoe...I think he made it for Mike Barry and probably wanted to show the Mariposa frame more than the components. Greg died tragically on his bike when a driver plowed through a group of 12 bikes, he was an active rider and enthusiast and an important artist in Ontario.

This isn't actually vintage, because I drew it and I'm not that old, but the bike is vintage:

I had one of these mounted and framed on the cheap and left it behind in a shop I work at. It took quite some time but I finally got another one and did a nice job of mounting it.

I always wanted one of these and I think I scored the last one that wasn't torn or full of staple holes. See below for how I had it mounted.

I would like to get one of these some day.

An original 1 of 2 pictures of the Coors Classic in the late 80s. Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault racing through Boulder Colorado. Bernard has the leader Jersey on. The picture was taken by attorney Rick Wimmer who was a customer of mine at Action Cyclery in Streamwood while I was the manager there.

Don't have any, currently.

This one looks pretty cool, in a pedestrian sort of way ...

And for those days when you're blowing your hair back ...
