Rad's not the only one.....

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Going NUTS!!!

I just can't stop buying stuff. I just won this on Ebay. Don't ask me any questions. Other than what I read in the Pedal Force frame thread a few days ago, I know nothing, I see nothing, I hear nothing (in a Sgt Schwartz voice). And my wife wants a better bike than the one she has.

All I know is they are a step up from a QS2 frame, which they plan to call a QS2-S. The guy I bought it from also said he has a QS2 on the shelf, and this one is in fact stiffer and more responsive.

Anyway, this frame is a 50cm, and is for my wife. I just can't see myself riding a 50cm. I know absolutely nothing at this point. She is to instruct me on the paint job and naming of her new machine. She said she wants a weight weenie bike. So, she'll get one.

Recently finished a QS2 build. Every now and then, the thought of another bike creeps in .. funny thing is this QS2 started off as "just a simple aluminium frame to replace my '04 Fuji Roubaix frame" which was a tad on the big side (though I was measured, not fitted, to the 64 cm size; I'm 6'3" with long inseam).

Anyway, The Fuji (Ultegra Triple Drivetrain+105 shifters) will be up for sale on eBay next week when I return from a work trip.

'05 Giant TCR 2 Composite
'06 QS2 (dubbed "Onyx")

I do think there is a wee bit more flex on the QS2 than on my TCR 2 .. (there's that thought again .. )

By the way, absolutely schweet paint job(s) ..

The rear tire on Fast Attack looks like it could use some air.

I'm taking a vow of silence on the subject of paint jobs since one prominent member of the cycling community has taken exception to the handling of my own situation.

That frame looks seriously outrageous and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun to work it up. Your wife is very lucky - has she picked a name yet?

She's working on it. She's has a few ideas, and wants it to be special. As far as paint scheme and design goes, it's all up in the air.

In all honesty, I wish I had one of these frames for myself as well.

Nice score. Looks like nice carbon work. Shame to cover it up. However, I am certain that the paint job will look as nice as the one on the fast attack. Bob
