Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

I've had steel, carbon and aluminum.

I won't have steel again because they always seem to rust eventually, but the look of a classic steel bike is still my favorite.

My aluminum bike is every bit the equal of my carbon bike in comfort, but it does weigh a little bit more. I shouldn't care, but I do.

After steel, carbon is my next favorite look and I paid more for that look (and maybe just slightly, immeasurable comfort), but it's a hobby and hobbies don't need rational reasons.
