Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

1. What's up with the water bottles squirting like that? Rider squeezing too hard? Why?

2. Why are those two riders so out of shape? Representing our C&A forum?

At 29 I'm trying to un-round myself, and it's a slow task. I miss the metabolism of early 20's gone past.

I saw that too.

Hey, is it possible to set the forums so that a thread older than a certain age (eg. 3 months or 1 year or whatever) can only be bumped by the OP?? That would solve the zombie thread issue.

1. Let's see you grab an uncapped water bottle of that style from a bike without it squirting all over!

2. Not sure they're forum dwellers or not...

You won't die. Will be you in peak form for the 100? Meh, probably not, but you won't die.

You're accelerating that fluid from 0 to whatever the bike is doing, lets call it 18mph. Yeah it'll slosh, and if the top is open, it'll slosh right out.

After the Allez fiasco I think I've narrowed my search to two bikes:

1. CAAD12 frameset and put my 105 stuff on it. I guess I can't go wrong with this option.

2. Focus Cayo with Force groupset. It's crabon, it is lighter, has the nicer components. After selling my stuff and everything, the price should be really close. The only concern I have is the fact that is has 65mm of trail. What's up with that? Sounds like a lot. It has some red paint in it though.

Those are those really thin bottles that you can collapse down in to a pancake. Doesn't take much to squeeze 'em out of shape.

The 41 knows that CAADs are the bestestest thing evar, which is why I'd go with the Focus.

A majority of the time when people say they're going to the beach it's either FL or SC, it seems.

Does it count as shoreline if you can walk out over the water 3-4 months of the year?
