Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Glad you're feeling better.
Edit: I just realized this may not be terribly helpful, as I know nothing about Kindles. However, in the tradition of BF, I'm OK with that.
I have a friend who goes there, and he's had trouble with it. For myself, only Amazon. And only in boredom with this forced lay-off.

I think the answer here is that a hipster with clipless pedals on a fixed is a serious hipster. If they're on platforms, they're poseurs.

There's no question the disqualification was justified. That elbow is WAY up and over. Unnecessary hostility.

I don't often wish I was tall, but seeing this thing for $285 makes me wish I had a basketball player's physique.

Spoiler Alert

Sheep poo makes Norwegian cyclists sick

Dozens of mountain bikers in a race in Norway have fallen sick most likely due to spray from sheep droppings on their path, Norwegian media reported Wednesday.

Of the 300 cyclists who took part in the Transosterdalen race at the end of June in southeastern Norway, at least 50 were struck with fever, stomach pain and diarrhoea in the days following the competition, according to public broadcaster NRK.

And I notice that BillyD the Administrator has made just that point with the ban hammer on Sagan!

Nice one Billy. Love it.

probably. also a bunch riding together on that sort of surface will spray muck up into their faces anyway.

How can you say that? Cavendish was all over him. The only body part available to defend himself was the elbow. Hands were busy. What is he supposed to do? Get pushed to the left into someone else. Cavendish screwed up and paid for it. Sagan shouldn't have had to also.
