90K on bicycles at Dutch F1 GP!

During this past weekends Dutch Formula1 Grand Prix, the announcer mentioned that 90% of the attendees arrived by bicycle!
If accurate, that's around 90,000 people arriving on bicycles to this sporting event!
I have not been able to confirm this by any other source, but still, it's pretty amazing if even close to accurate.

Just shows how well the Dutch infrastructure is set up to accommodate cycling. Have been there three times and the cycling infrastructure is mind-boggling compared to the U S of A. Germany, Switzerland and Austria also have 100s of miles of dedicated paved MUPs. Wish we could get there.

No, most of the clothing focus was on orange shirts and flags for Max.

There was a mention of the number of people biking to the track during the Free Practice #1 broadcast, but I'm behind and have to still work my way through FP #2 and #3, qualifying, and the race before Monza this weekend.

That would not be unusual at all in the SF bay area. The Giants have bike valet parking out the right field wall. Other events also have similar facilities. Was this unusual for you?

Since I have never seen bicycle valet parking, yes.
