Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What are the differences in the way the following types of horses piss: Russian Race horse, American thoroughbred, Clydesdale, dray horse, and Quarter Horse? Discuss.

Fun fact: flomax causes floppy iris syndrome. It’s only an issue if you are having cataract or similar eye surgery.

I've never raced, too much of a wuss. Riding with racers on their training rides and riding in hundreds of fast group rides convinced me I could never be competitive. I did enjoy toying with and taunting racers when they blew up in the hills. Also liked hammering on the flats with fast groups but once the climbs start I go backwards.
These days I'm usually a PITA to the faster groups which is why I'm happy when others are there who are slower than I am.

I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm a wuss, but yeah - my concern over crashing centers more on pain, suffering and the financial burden of medical treatment rather than concern over the cost of the bike, which would be rather minor, compared to the rest, IMO.

Felt like my head had been filled with foam sealant when I woke up. Better now, but still “off.” Does work as advertised, however.

Saw that and the recommendation to be off for nine (9) months! Reminds me. I have to go get cleared for scopolamine before the summer and I know those mofos are sharpening their little knives for me, whether it’s the narrowing angle, the cataracts or whatever.

I AM a wuss. When I rode with PenVelo, as part of being a club member you had to help out with the Burlingame Criterium, which was a downtown crit. You help set up the barriers, then serve as marshalls on the course, then tear down. The speed and tight pack dynamics, and occasional crashes put me off wanting to race IRL. But I do like Zwift racing, because there's the competition, and tactics, but no crashes.

I had started to have the usual age and Y chromosome-related issues, but when my doc put me on HCTZ for hypertension, they seem to have gone away and stayed away. So far.
