Help with Woodrup model ID

I'm hoping someone might have some insight on the model of the new-to-me Woodrup I've acquired? I have a s/n on the bb of 4669 (might be 4660) and I *think* it's a Giro Touring, but not sure. It has braze ons for 3 water bottles, and mid fork rack mounts, plus braze ons for a rear rack (one is currently missing/broken).

Unusually, the top tube cable guides are at 8 o'clock rather than on top of the tope tube like other Woodrups I've seen - it's pretty nifty as it hides the cable behind the frame pump on the driveside and also keeps it out of the way if the clearance is tight for standover. It also has braze ons for cable stops that appear to be simple cable stops, not meant for barrel adjusters or as mounting points for downtube shifters. Side note: yeah, that actually *is* SunTour cable housing!

I have no decals or residue where a model name or grade of steel might have appeared.

Anyone have any insights?

As found, a diamond in the rough!

Wait a minute... the eyelet for the rear rack is gone!

Neat looking bike, looks to be a bike from about 1983. Others will know more about your Woodrup than I.

Is that a 40 hole rim on the back?

...this one is a "Giro Tour". Similar geometry, but different fork crown.

I'm no expert in these things, and your photos showing the fork crown aren't terribly revealing, but that may be a "Davis" crown. I had a Britain-built Raleigh Gran Course (1984 model, like a late Competition) that had a crown looking like what I see on your frame. Nice-looking bike!

It is! I notice it every time I hang it up on a bike hook. :-)

I have one of these which unfortunately is a bit larger than I like at 23 inch center to center. Nice bikes. I've seen a fair number of them locally and in NE and MN. It looks like they may have had good market penetration in the midwest.
