Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No. High carb, also fatty. Hence the problem. I could resist low carb gluten free crap.

In other news you didn't care about, my email inbox is besieged with notices of sales at every single damn supplier of bicycle goods from whom I've ever bought. I'm suffering constant FOMO, especially after missing that $554/pair deal on the Favero Assioma Duo power pedals, which I didn't really need anyway.

I counted the emails on Black Friday - 263 "deal" emails that I deleted.

I like "Madam, I'm Adam", or "Mad, am I, Madam?",

Well, it was brought about by time on the trainer and that's the only bike of the two that's seen significant time on the trainer, IIRC; he's got several thousand trouble-free outdoor miles on that same bike. Trainers are a great litmus test for fit, and there's no guarantee that putting the Madone on the trainer would be happy good times, though that might be something worth trying after a bit of time off.

This morning I put a new barrow and steel frame on the wheelbarrow we bought for the construction of the house 7 years ago. Half the cost of a new one. The barrow was so rotten it would collapse onto the wheel with any significant weight.
