60th Anniversary Edition all original Schwinn Paramount Titanium Carbone Fork DuraAce

Hi All,
I have a 60 anniversary edition Schwinn Paramount titanium complete and original bike I had built new by a dealer. It's all DureAce and has the the carbon fiber fork that was made for the frameset, I believe. I told the dealer at the time I wanted the very best road bike I could get, and this was it. It has been in storage for many years, but is in great shape with under 2000 original miles. I can't yet post pictures as I am new to the forum and need to post 10 times before I can post pictures but can send privately, if you would like. Any Ideas what it is worth?
Thanks!

Good Morning and welcome to the forums. You can upload pics to you album and we can look at them. Aside from condition of the bike selling price will depend on where you are and how you want to sell it. A bike like this will likely be appealing to Schwinn collectors but you need to able to reach them and be ready to ship. Our sales forum here is a great place to make sure the bike falls into the right hands but eBay and market place will get the broadest audience.

Beautiful bike in excellent condition.
It looks like some front brake track wear, but the Cassette and Chainrings all look good.

I am finding a few mentions of similar bikes, but none are currently for sale on E-Bay.

I would expect the bike to go for somewhere around $2000.

If it was put on E-Bay, "Buy It Now", and a person had patience to wait a year or so for it to sell, the price might be significantly higher.

That's a beauty for sure. The guy I bought my mint Pinarello from last year had one of though. Super sweet bike and he praised the ride.

More info on these here:

Important to note in most local markets, you will not get full value for the bike. In my market, you would only get a small fraction. That leaves eBay for selling, which means you have to be willing to pack and ship at a reasonable price. And then you have all the fees. But in return, you might get 3 to 4 times the value for your bike (location dependent).

As a result, in my weak market, I am typically only a buyer, never a seller. Short of selling to myself, there is no way for me to get the value out of the nicer stuff.

Bikes identical to yours have sold for $1800 to $2300 on eBay.

And I think time of year matters too. I've had several bike languish on the local markets for months during the winter. Once spring hits people start thinking about getting out and riding and all of a sudden the interest pics up and the bikes start selling.

Plus to most these are just another Schwinn and they don't recognize the quality. I had one of the Reynolds 853 Circuits from this era and it was a top notch frame. Yet, they just never carry the "prestige" of other 853 frames like a Lemond so don't usually draw much money when sold.
