Here is the thread I originally posted when I first got the bike. My faulty memory is to blame for the date. The main frame is 1977 or 1978. The fork is from the 80’s as are the decals and non-screw in head badge.

It is a pretty blue bike!

I put this together for my daughter who is staying with us for Covid. 1982 715. I found it with original cranks, front and rear derailleur, shifters, and front brake. For now, it is 6 speed indexed shimano. It makes me miss my full size 710.

Added this to the stable last week. I took this picture at dusk yesterday just to see how bright this yellow is. All original including bar tape. Amazing condition. Only cleaned and changed tires.

The "other" 750, not as common as the Multitrack that shared the number later. This is a 1982 that was probably sold as a frameset, built up with a very nice group. Very nice rider, but not getting ridden much by me.

750, 950, 930, 970. The originals. The mountain stuff came later, and they don't register to this C&V road bike lover. Your 750 is gorgeous. Dual Trek panels? No more legit than that! Still on the low-key search for a 1982 750 or 950 frameset (or complete 757, 759, 957, or 959, naturally) because we have eyes and the paint color/panel color combos are sublime (to say nothing of the geometry, tubing, and construction). Gotta find it in 64cm form though......

I took the 640 out for a spin over the holiday weekend. It came to me with a mostly complete Nuovo Gran Sport group, but I swapped most of that out for some assorted shiny bits that I prefer.

This is one of my Treks. A 1987 Trek Elance 330.
52cm. Converted to 650b using Pacenti wheels and Pari-moto tires. Tektro 559 brakes. Currently runs Microshift R8 shifters, RS-500 crankset, 105RD, RX100 FD. Very comfortable bike for centuries and brevet rides.

Thanks Dave! I wish it was one size down, but it still works pretty well for me. I like this one a little better than the 750 despite the lower spec, it's a bit more relaxed in handling.

That's a beauty, well done! Is that the original paint, or was it refinished? Either way, that color is really attractive.

Nice rig!

The 3xx and 4xx Elance frames are a really good choice for updating - 531 steel but usually cost a bit less than the 6xx and 7xx.

Original paint. The photo may actually look better than reality. There are a few rust spots on the frame. I'm not the original owner and it has definitely seen some use from whoever owned it before me. I actually bought this from a metal scrapper who finds trashed bikes, builds them back up to barely ridable shape, and then sells them on CL. Since I've owned it, it's gone through a few component changes.
I think I'll keep this configuration for awhile.

This is my other Trek. A 1983 Trek 620, 50cm. I've posted this bike in a different thread before, trying to figure out what year and model this was. It almost looks like the older brother to my other Trek 330
This bike was sitting outside a bike shop in their "scrap yard" for cannibalization to other bikes. I asked the female manager in the store what it's fate was, especially since they were moving to a new location. Her reply was rough, but music to my ears "If you want it, it's your. Take it. We're just going to throw that piece of crap into the dumpster anyways. You'll just be saving us the trouble!".
I took it home, cleaned it up a little. Since the RD wasn't stock, I found one on Ebay. I had to replace the chain, tires, tubes, bar tape, and saddle. I also had the rear wheel serviced since it was in bad shape. Also some touch up paint. About $175 put into it, and it rides great.
It's main use has been for me to put a bag on the rear rack, fill it with cans of beer and ice, and head out with another good fried to local beaches/trails, and crack open a few cold ones. So basically, my beer cruiser.
