Raleigh chainring - 3 arm
I've got a warped ring on a Sprite 27, the 3 arm type. Anyone know where I can find a replacement? I'm not even sure what to search for on ebay...
thanks

If its "Warped" but still OK take it off and hit it with a Rubber Hammer,it should come back into shape, its only mild steel afaik ! Problem solved (cheaply, lol).

I might have one you can have for postage. Let me look and PM you. What size do you need?

it has a 40 on there now - I'd imagine it will fit up to a 44, which would would be ok with me - I've been running it single speed coaster with a 40-18 setup, and it's a bit undergeared - I just put on a 3 speed wheel, though, so the chainring size is less important to me now

I like to take the chainring off and check the 3 arms to make sure they aren't bent by measuring from the seat tube and straightening them with a crescent wrench. Then I pu the chainring back on and do it the same way. grab it with the crescent wrench and gently bend it back a little at a time.
Sometimes they do get warped beyond repair though.

Suspected Raleigh, but early.
Those huge castellated nuts give the game away.
Not seen anything like it, before or since.
