Speaking of which, I just watched this programme on the Lincoln Highway, particularly in Wyoming. You philistines would have loved cycling on it in the '10s and early '20s, when it was dirt, no bridges, and travelers had to open and close gates along the way.

I wanted to get out for a spin, but I wasn't feelin' too sporty today, so I decided to bring my camera along and cheapen some murals by taking pics of my bike in front of them!

Got in a gorgeous ride. It was so cold at the start that I stopped twice at water across the road for fear of ice. In April? Sad!
Luckily no ice and the sun warmed temps quickly enough that I finished the ride with my jacket zipper all the way down.
It’s my sister’s bday today, she is 59. Natalie!!

Now I want to see a video on the history of Knox County roads.
She could still be lurking.
Farming worms is serious business.
This mural doesn't make sense.
The worms are California red wigglers, which do very well in confinement and not so well out in the wild. They can be purchased online. Also, ph is very important. Our local soil is very high alkaline, so we have to feed citrus slices on a regular basis, to keep the ph down. But mostly they eat dry leaves and general food scraps, except animal products. The folk at rhe workshop suggested a layer of partially composted debris as a first layer, before launching in whith fresh stuff. In my brief experience, they really like crushed eggshells, banana peels, limes. For a new box, they suggest a light layer of dried leaves, then the worms, then the pre-compost, then the rest. Keep us updated on your progress.

Went swimming after my ride today. Just did two laps, don't wanna overdo it so early in the season. It was a little chilly but I've been swimming in a number of colder rivers, irrigation ditches, lakes and ocean beaches.

Updates:
1. I have ridden my bike the past four days in a row. I’m tired.
2. This weekend’s baking: four loaves whole wheat bread, 2.5 dozen snickerdoodles, 1 batch cinnamon rolls.
3. I have signed up for Instacart and I’m digging it. My Costco order will arrive imminently.
4. We have been eating too much homemade pizza. In the Uuni portable wood fired pizza oven.

Also, an old friend of Mr H just texted him a pic he found while cleaning out his closet. It’s a pic of Mr H on the lower slopes of Mauna Kea with his hang glider in the back ground. He is posing with two military police officers.
So of course I ask: ???
Oh that’s from the time I flew my hang glider from the top of a volcano and mistakenly flew into a military live fire exercise. Whoops, munitions, attack helicopters flying below me, the MPs arrived before my ride got there to pick me up.
!!!
The MPs are smiling. Mr H is a skinny college kid.

Well and the funny thing is, over in tri-land, the dropped stays are seen as mandatory now and the bikes that don't have it are mocked. The Felt IA is seen as much more advanced than the Cervelo P. Funny thing is, as @WhyFi mentioned, it supposedly improves comfort and handling, but... the P is regarded as more comfortable and neutral-handling, for whatever that consensus is worth.
I'm just fine either way. It does slightly ding that bike on the old-man aesthetic, though.
Would still hit it.
