I don’t like taking opioids either. My brother was an addict, he got started on percs for his back pain and devolved from there.
When I had my hip surgery in 16, I told the doc I didn’t want any. He said okay, then laughed and said I’ll check back after surgery.
When I woke up, the nurse asked if I wanted any and I immediately responded yes. Was on it for three days in combo with some gout meds. When I stopped taking the opioid, I got a blinding headache and felt like ****.

Not sure. Made the call of shame, initially I thought the rim was bent but the tire was catching the frame where the tire was pancaked. I think the rim is good.
I had to leave for work so I didn’t get to mess with it anymore, That metal wire is stuck in the tire, is that enough to make the tire no good anymore? I was thinking I would move that tire to the front and put the front tire to the rear. I really don’t want to throw the gators on.

yep. I might take 2 on weekends since I won't be working and won't have to be sharp in case I'm a little drowsy from it. I also might take 2 at night when I ride. I've read some people are prescribed as much as 3600 mg taken in equal amounts 3 x day.
I'm ascared after reading about it. I just hope it's enough to work so I can at least build up a little fitness while being treated.

Man, between the weather forecast and bday activities for my wife, I don't know that I'm going to get in m/any miles this weekend.

My latest hernia surgery was this past July. I don’t recall needing much meds either. But the shoulder surgery in August was a different story. But I got off the Percs ASAP, not a fan of he narcs.

cool. I would be bummed if the tire was already shot.
Todays ride was tough, I think the cold really affected me but I noticed when I got on centerville it seemed like I was working a lot harder and not going anywhere. I wonder if I picked up that hitchhiker earlier on the ride and had a slow leak.

You do realize you’re not safe expressing that thought out loud, right? Somehow, they know.

I was on the cap trail this morning and the small section I was on passes some entrances to neighborhoods. The trail has stop signs for people on the trail at each of these entrances and typically I slow down make sure it’s good, and then roll happily through. Today, I approached and I saw a car but he was still approaching and was about 150 feet away. Anyways I did a quick calculation saw that I had time and kept going. He was not happy about my desicion. Started honking angrily and then called me a bunch of names.
I guess I was suppose to come to a complete stop. Unclip, and stand and wait for him to pull up, block the bike path and then make his turn.
This really ticked me off, but I’ve been angry lately and don’t know why.
