What have you been wrenching on lately?

Honda brake rotor screws, the part everyone loves to hate, finally yielded to a Vessel JIS impact screwdriver. Multiple applications of Liquid Wrench, heat and strikes on another impact screwdriver and they hadn't budged.
Vessel, or as Chekov said on Star Trek,
"Wessel."

Salvaged a 14-24t 6 speed speed Shimano 600 freewheel from a busted up wheel. Ended up destroying the 600 hub, but the axle was broken along with the nds cap, so thats ok. I gave removeing the cogs a try and gave up before breaking anything. I tried the the cover ring, but its plastic, now with a scratch. Cherry on the day was to finally use my freeeheel buddy the fill the hub with Phil's. A lot of junk came out with the oil so I think I'll do a full solvent flush and re lube. I think this is going to go on a Bridgestone 450 that Im adding a third chain ring to as well as converting to 650b.

Thanks bud! Once I get my post count up I'll show off my old Chimo. Really obscure bike, not many threads about them.
Hope those rotor screws finally budged for ya! I broke a bit on an impact screwdriver messing with those things lol, that was the moment I decided to look into alternative methods aka grinding them off for good
edit: excuse my idiocy, I totally didn't notice that you already got it all back together. Did you reinstall the screws with some anti-seize or leave em out?

Those screws are part of modern day Japanese overkill, they are supposed to keep the rotor, wheel and hub from squirming around too, I've never broken anything getting them off but they are a minor pita to be sure.

Not C&V or even much of a great undertaking... But about seven months ago I bought a Blendr Duo base for my Trek. While my stem is Blendr compatible, it apparently isn't compatible with this particular base. Having this that and the other thing to do I never got around to returning it. And while my stem didn't fit the base, it fit me so it didn't make sense to buy another stem. This morning while drinking coffee, it struck me to take a Nicholson mill after the base and make it fit.
While the aerodynamic improvement will only get my 56 year old self a .00001 mph improvement I think it looks so much better I may be moved to cutting down my steerer tube for maximum warm and fuzzies.

Built a wheel for my coworker at the charity bike shop where we volunteer. He's into the old heavyweight and middleweight stuff.

I made this tool to put a perfect 73° indent in a fender for mounting at the fork crown. Ive done this many times with a bit of wood, but I recently moved and threw out all of my scrap wood.
This tool holds the fender steady and places the indent with hilariously unnecessary precision.

1984 Bianchi Alaskan
After 10 yrs in boxes, she's almost finished.
1984 Bianchi Alaskan or ATB ?
One rare bike ova heya.
The new Seat stay decal was broken up for some fork bling.
Original wheels on these guys are " unstamped " Araya 7x .
This serial number might intrest the bianchi peeps.
At completion
I swapped out the original Alero cranks in this pic, for a extra nice set of sugino gt's off my 84 univega sport.

Line cut!
Jumped the line!
Just remembered how much fun this bicycle was to ride!
1986-7 Fuji Del Rey Silver Star...even the tires are Silver Stars!
Le PREE friction shift...seamless shifting after the first few...
These are real zzzzip tires...the sound they make as they start to rip!
Original owner crashed, got his feet stuck on/ in the pedals, on his first ride...a couple of scrapes on the saddle and one brake lever...I bought it for under $100.00, at his yard sale!
Original...one ride left...not gonna ride farther than I’m willing to walk back from...
Silver Star...I love the sound these make when they start to fail...zzzziip!

Ross Mt St Helen. Not fancy but it handles six gallons of water just fine. Two in the cooler up front and four in the folding baskets the I got from @Prowler.
I planted some flowers and they need a drink every day.
I have also been wrenching on these. They need daily attention, and nightly ice cream.

1982 Peugeot PXN 10
I've been on a French bike kick lately. I finished up a 1973 Motobecane Grand Record that I turned into a gravel bike with 700 x 35c Schwalbe mondial tires. It has generous gearing (50/34, 14-28). I am working on a 1982 Peugeot PXN 10. I swapped out the Stronglight 106 crank for a Stronglight 86 bcd crank. The 106 is beautiful but it is 144bcd but I wanted to run smaller chainrings. I'm running 50/36 rings and a 14-28 6 speed. The Simplex SX 410 RD is bumping up against the large cog so I'll have to tighten up the spring tension to see if that helps. I found a pair of Atom 700 pedals but I need to dial in the adjustment and I need to cut the toe straps down. The downtube shifters and front derailleur are super LJ. I really like French components from this era. They look clean and work great. I'm looking forward to riding this.

After towing my B.O.B. trailer with its heavy load yesterday I decided it needs a kickstand for support when parked so it doesn't cause the bike to tip over. That happened more than once yesterday, as it did when I used a borrowed B.O.B. on tour a few years ago. So, instead of PVC I thought I'd try copper tubing that I had lying around. Got the loop built today but need a couple more small pieces and some brackets for mounting. 3/4" pipe might be a little...er, muscular for the job, but we'll see.

I have worked on a few pretty neat bikes in the last couple weeks. The first was a Raleigh Space rider, a 24" wheel version of the 3 speed Sport. This one had a coaster brake, 3 speed hub, and a front brake . it cleaned up nicely. The second was a 1965? AMC V11 which was built under number of different names. I repainted the black frame, cleaning and polishing the chrome fenders and front rack, and left the patina on the tank, rack, and chain guard, clear coating them. . I also swapped the old steel wheels for aluminum 26inch rims with a coaster brake and put some 1.95 " Thick Slicks on it. The last of the trio is a 1966 Schwinn American (ser. no. 7E32451) with Bendix 2 speed and coaster brake which I kept all original except for new bars , which are an exact copy of the somewhat rusty originals , and new tires. Here I cleaned everything, rubbed out the paint with rubbing compound, and clear coated with Rustoleum Automotive clear.
To be clear, the pics of the Raleigh are before I cleaned it, the AMC is a stock photo of the exact same bike minus the patina . I couldn't get the pictures of the first 2 bikes off my phone.
