That one gets a (deservedly) huge amount of press. Unfortunately, the crash caused by the inattention of one of Froome's team-mates had a radically larger impact on the race. I searched online articles and couldn't find the guy's name mentioned anywhere though. Yes, it's racing, and things happen, but that one was a very "rookie" mistake.

I believe it's been determined that it was a woman...not that it matters...it was a travesty.

I was referring to the 2nd huge crash on the stage.

Hah! That's what I get for trying to work, watch the race and read/respond to comments in BF.

One of the most emotional finish line celebrations I've seen. So many other riders obviously happy for the Manx Missile!

^still miffy about the 2017 tdf dq + expulsion of sagan when air cav decided he wanted to push the envelope. good tho for cav and team dqs for taking a chance on him.

didn't get to see the race today...what happened to my horrible pick of démare? nowhere close. late mechanical/flat or just no va va?

not expecting big changes in the velogames standings after tomorrow's tt scoring. nearly every team well represented with the projected usual suspects on the tt side of things.

canam73 currently leading both games but out to a biiig lead in the flobikes/tissot game. like over 1000 points after 4 stages. nothing to sneer at.

Sagan seams to be in it still, getting fifth. We'll see how Roglic goes today. MvdP on stellar form and delivering the beating to my standings. I accept my slide down in the placings as punishment for not picking Cavendish!

Inside scoop here on another of my non-selection: Froome for a stage win soon

I don't know if there are any Kelderman fans in the league here counting on his performance to put food on the table, but I apologize for speaking highly of his chances in the other thread and cursing him today.

I feel bad. However, compared to what ooga-booga did to poor Caleb, I'm a saint.

ooga booga may have put Ewan out to pasture, but my seemingly foolproof selection of Ewan over Cavendish has me waiting for a check from Levfrefre. Cav's two wins have everyone in tears, including my league chances

Pierre Latour 6th on GC, Cav in green? Keep it weird 2021!

I really wanted to pick Cav but with the rules meaning you would have to chuck either Ewan or MVDP, I waffled and didn't.

Speaking of life not quite living up to fantasies, my internet is down until Sunday afternoon first available tech. Uggh.

I'm sure there will be nothing interesting to see the next three stages.

This is a spoiler then, but grab a bottle rocket and fire it off.

You: Bottle Rocket = GC contenders : Pogacar

Perhaps I'll have enough of the remaining 28 riders at the end of the Tour to be competitive.
