Forum Suggestion for threads

Wondering if it would be possible for users/members to hide threads, kind of like option for "ignoring" select members? Having the option might be a great feature.

Hm... Not a terrible idea. I wonder how it could work. Would you want to hide threads by member, by subject/keyword?

Not speaking for Troul here, but I'd like to be able to click a "Hide Thread" button for threads that pop up over and over and that I have no interest in. Not just P&R threads, but "Show me your cat!" and "How fer did you ride today!" and "Show me your bike!" threads.

With the sheer number of new threads, it would seem like one would be constantly hiding threads.

A "button" within the text line to toggle within the subforum that would show the thread title.

Example:

The problem, for me at least, isn't new threads, most of which fairly quickly move down the New Posts list and out of sight. It's the inane threads with hundreds or thousands or tens of thousands of replies that show no sign of abating. "Where'd You Ride Today?," for God's sake.

I've checked with our tech team and unfortunately this is not really possible on the software.
