Raleigh early 70's Competition
Hello , a friend of mine is the proud original owner of a robin's egg blue and white Competition . I am thinking of doing some modernization work for him with odds and ends I have laying around , but thought I could maybe get a ball park figure on the value in case he decides to sell . All original except saddle and RD(I do have an old Simplex I would gladly give him . Thanks , frisky

Can you provide a link to some photos? Condition is everything.

Could be anywhere from $50-$500 or more. Pictures and descriptions of the condition, components, may enable better estimation of value.

Blue and white would make it a Gran Sport rather than a Competition.

I won't see him or the bike for about a month but I plan on taking the bike and going over it fully to take stock . He bought it in the early 70's . I bought one in 1969 and then the colors were green and black. I'll have to get back to the board later in the spring . Thanks
