Poop fun after 2 solid rides in a row
I did 2 solid, strong rides this past weekend. A good 4 hours Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Today I've had some gas and poop issues. Pooped 4 times so far. Just that whole region down there feels somewhat affected after the riding. Does this ever happen to anyone?

TMI.
But it is almost certainly unrelated to riding the bike...Though it may have to do with what you ate and/or drank while riding.

Bikes: Co-Motion Cappuccino Tandem,'88 Bob Jackson Touring, Co-Motion Cascadia Touring, Open U.P., Ritchie Titanium Breakaway, Frances Cycles SmallHaul cargo bike. Those are the permanent ones; others wander in and out of the stable occasionally as well.

Bacteria left in an old water bottle? Old energy bars or expired drink mix?

I mean it's not unheard of to have some differences in your normal "activities" after a couple hard rides. I wouldn't sweat it unless it continues.

If i dont keep my electrolyte and salt level up during and after a long, sweaty ride, i will feel sick to my stomach and have similar problems. I have super salty sweat and lose tons of salt and minerals in warmer weather. To combat this i will eat a scoop of Gatorade mix powder (or eat some salt) before heading out on the bike if i know it is going to be a longer, high effort ride. I will also put gatorade in at least on of my water bottles. Once home, i will drink about as much Gatorade, or pickle juice or similar, as i can handle. This helps immensely with the digestive symptoms i had previously dealt with in the hours after a high effort ride.

Given this is a gravel sub forum, I’m going with you ate too much gravel.

Dehydration can cause chronic constipation.

It does but I have yet to ever create a thread on an internet forum about it.
