I have a drawer full of cottered spindles, but lengths really vary. Do you have specifics for what you need, e.g., overall length, DS length, NDS length?

actually, all i need is a fixed cup, but i thought it might be a long shot asking just for the cup. the crankset is coming my way with everything but the fixed cup. might you have one of those kicking around?

I likely do though it would be good to know the manufacturer of the rest of the bits to ensure a potential match. Brampton? TDC?

What's the bike? Raleigh BB cups are 26 tpi, other English BB threads are the standard 24 tpi. They are not cross-compatible. Raleigh BB's are also a bit wider than usual, or at least many of them. So if the bike you want ths for is a Raleigh, you should be fine. If not, then I am not quite so optimistic.
On the other hand, BB cups are not specific to cottered or cotterless spindles; you can usually mix and match cups and spindles from different manufacturers .

I just took this one from an early seventies Falcon. It is listed on Ebay for $25.00 but yours for $15.00 + shipping if you are interested. My guess would be about $15 to ship...

thanks, randy! i have a bottom bracket set from neal that i'm going to try out when i bring my frame up from the dungeon tomorrow. now thanks to rhm, i'm not sure if my bike needs a 26 TPI or 24, so i'll verify that and get back to you by tomorrow evening. my frame is badged as a mercian, but it might be a faux mercian and maybe a raleigh. at least i got the frame for a good price...
