It's Here!!! (Kind of anyway)

My new toy just got here today!

There was a bit of a delivery confusion where the university post office gave the package to my sponsors daughter instead of to me as the package indicated. For a second they said, "someone already picked it up" and I freaked the **** out!

1 call to the sponsors daughter later and everything was good to go.

Me- "Hey, did you get a really weird package from your dad?"
Her- "Yeah!"
Me- "Should I come and pick it up from you?"
Her- "Haha, sure!"

Without further ado, I bring to you!

2 different crank lengths, 172 and 177.

Now for the sad part. The powercontrol hasn't been charged for months and the battery won't charge. Since the internal reset requires the head unit to be opened, I have to send it to SRM to get them to do it. It just got a set of new batteries and such in march and got put away after that.

I was going to slap it on today, but now I'm going to have to wait

Edit: Before people ask. The note in the first picture is from my girlfriend, and the quilt in the background is something my mom made me

Cause quilts are hot. And when you bring a girl into your room, the first thing she notices is that there's this badass handmade quilt lying on your bed and she's instantly turned on by the guy that has a sensitive side!

It does, but it would be a tad better if I could actually use the unit for my ride with the coach tomorrow.

Oh well, it'll be here soon enough

Me too, but then my unit wasn't working haha.
So a deep despair hung over me instead

RX, did you use the SRM software for an extended period of time or did you swap over to cycling peaks? I was playing around with some of the test files they have on the SRM software and it wasn't as 'pretty' as cycling peaks from what I've seen posted here.

She does bake delicious chocolate chip cookies. I love opening boxes of those!

I also bought my race bike at the bike shop where she works/worked.

Never, ever be upset with your initial numbers. It is what it is. Be proud of them and the fact that they will be getting better, the smarter you train. And having that little puppy should help you greatly. Good luck.

I'll be putting on 172's, but I also have 177's. No idea what I'm going to do with the latter.

Not yet. But it's coming. And you just wait, mister... if you wanna see some low numbers.

I used the SRM software initially. I went over to Cycling Peaks when they developed the Performance Manager.

I think I might play with sportstracks as umd has given me the download info for that. I'll try that out for a bit and see if it's worth keeping.

I'll probably move over to cyclingpeaks when I start collecting race data in the spring.

Congrats. I'm jealous. It will be some time before I get a power meter of any sort on my bike. My trainer gives me power. But I think the numbers are off on the low side. At least I hope on the low side .

Now go wear that thing out!

Congrats!

Regarding the battery, I'd have a REALLY hard time sending it off for that. Get on the wattage forum and search around or ask. A quick dig found an old link: https://lists.topica.com/lists/wattag...=d&start=40525
