This may be of interest.
the basics is the guy is using cad and 3 d printing to build custom sockets that then have standard tubes inserted.....claims tubes can be steel, carbon, or even bamboo

Not sure it would get rid of the need for a Jig. But the idea of using printing to make molds is something (duh) I had not thought of and is very exciting!! Seems to me that with a big enough printer, a better deal would be to print molds for an actual carbon bike. Or sub assemblies that could be assembled into a mold.

It's not clear what this guys molds did for him. It's not clear that he realized a good epoxy/CF mix in the end product. It's not clear that he got a finished surface, out of the mold. And, it's not clear that he has good joints.
