Squeaky Shoes

My Giro Rumble VR shoes are squeaking a lot as I walk across the floor. They look great and everyone's heads turn as I walk to my desk in the morning. Does anyone have ideas to prevent the squeaking? They make the noise no matter what type of floor I walk across.

Is the squeak from the soles or is it from the inside of the shoe? I have a pair of Merrell shoes (not cycling) that squeak from the inside and the company recommends placing some baby powder in the shoe to make it stop. Haven't done it yet, so I can't tell you if it works or not.

I've got a couple pairs like that. I've observed that mine usually squeak louder when they're slightly damp. But of course, when you walk from a cold outdoors into a warm building, any moisture present may well condense on the soles, so there's not much use sitting on the floor and drying them with a hand towel.

Better just to call out loudly, "Good morning!" as you walk in the door.

I'll try the Baby Powered later. Might work.
